Intervention programs for adolescents who have committed criminal behavior: a systematic review of the literature.
Keywords:

Adolescence is a stage of change, where some situations may arise that generate risk behaviors such as SPA and alcohol consumption, peer influence, sexual behaviors, which increase the probability of presenting criminal behaviors that result in being deprived of their freedom. The criminal system for adolescent offenders is based on the search for resocialization and reintegration of adolescents into the family, social and educational context after they were detained for committing criminal behavior. For this reason, the objective of this study was to describe and analyze the different intervention programs that could be tracked in databases and that are used to treat the criminal behavior of juvenile offenders. A systematic review was used as a design, under the guidelines of the PRISMA methodology, using the following databases: Scopus, Science Direct, Web of Science and Pubmed. Several treatments were found that demonstrate effectiveness in reducing risk behaviors, preventing recidivism in criminal behavior. These programs are mostly aimed at strengthening social tools and emotional management, improving their mental health, as well as their family functioning.
